Klosters: The Discreet Alpine Sanctuary

Klosters is the aristocratic counterpart to its neighbour Davos, a Swiss ski resort that appeals to those who value understated elegance and idyllic Alpine scenery. You will not find opulent five-star hotels here. Instead, the demand for luxury is met by exceptional chalets with magnificent mountain views—a preference quietly endorsed by an discerning clientele, including members of the British and Swedish royal families. Charming streets lined with traditional chalets, bars, and restaurants cultivate Klosters' serene atmosphere, where refinement is a private affair, never put on public display.

The Mountain & The Experience

Through an efficient network of lifts, guests in Klosters gain seamless access to the extensive 320 km Davos-Klosters ski area. The Madrisa and Gotschna sectors are easily reached from Klosters-Dorf and Klosters-Platz respectively. Madrisa, with its ‘Kids' Land’ adventure park, is a favourite for families, while the connection to off-piste terrain provides a playground for experienced skiers. Beginners will find their footing, and intermediates can hone their technique on well-groomed runs. The second sector, Gotschna-Parsenn, offers long, challenging descents tailored for the advanced skier.

Beyond the slopes, the infrastructure and natural landscape of Klosters invite tobogganing, ice-skating, hockey, and curling, as well as winter hiking and ski touring. While children are entertained at the adventure park, you can retreat to a spa, a game of bowling, or a match of squash and tennis.

The resort's points of interest include the local heritage museum, the historic mill in Mülliweg, and several art galleries. For romance and adventure, paragliding and hang-gliding flights over the peaks of Davos and Klosters are available, alongside discos and weekly torchlit descents. In summer, the landscape transforms for horseback riding, mountain fishing, hiking, and trail running.
