St. Moritz: Switzerland's Most Sun-Kissed Alpine Destination

St. Moritz is not merely a resort; it is the origin of Alpine luxury. Nestled in the sublime Upper Engadin valley, this is the sunniest, most stylish enclave in the Alps, radiating a polished, cosmopolitan energy. For generations, it has been the private preserve of royalty, visionaries, and luminaries—a world where global sophistication meets mountain soul.

Here, a contemporary Alpine lifestyle is perfectly interwoven with vast, varied skiing terrain. Its gastronomic scene will captivate the most discerning palates, while a curated calendar of world-class sporting events, luxury hotels, and exclusive boutiques ensures a rhythm of engagement far beyond the slopes.

St. Moritz is defined by its two distinct quarters: the chic, vibrant St. Moritz Dorf, home to legendary hotels, our curated chalets, and haute couture boutiques; and St. Moritz Bad, the town's modern counterpart, offering an ice rink, cross-country skiing centre, and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The Mountain Experience

Perched at 1,856 metres, St. Moritz offers 350 kilometres of impeccably groomed slopes across an altitude of 1,800 to 3,303 metres, serviced by 58 modern lifts. The ski area is a particular haven for confident and expert skiers, with a preponderance of rewarding red runs. Three dedicated snow parks cater to freestylers, while 150 km of winter hiking trails and 200 km of cross-country tracks offer alternative immersion in the landscape. The resort is also the birthplace of bobsleigh, home to the world's oldest ice run, a natural ice rink for curling, and high-altitude training facilities.

The skiing domain is divided into three distinct sectors: Corviglia (2,488m), Corvatsch (3,451m), and Diavolezza (2,973m). The home mountain of Corviglia, accessible directly from Dorf, is famed for the formidable Piz Nair and its concentration of World Cup-level pistes. It also offers serene snow parks and a selection of mountain restaurants serving everything from hearty tradition to culinary innovation.

For those beginning their Alpine journey, the surrounding villages of Pontresina, Silvaplana, Samedan, and La Punt offer charming, gentle areas to learn.

Ski Instruction & Guiding

The international ski school in St. Moritz maintains the highest standards of service, with instruction available in multiple languages. We will arrange private or group lessons tailored to your ambition—whether alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country, or specialized race training and heli-ski preparation—with schedules and meeting points crafted around your day.

Mountain Guiding & Heli-Skiing

Our trusted mountain guides will craft the optimal itinerary, unlocking the hidden potential of Corviglia, Corvatsch, and Diavolezza. St. Moritz is a premier destination for heli-skiing, where fantasy becomes reality. Combine a pristine descent with a breathtaking aerial tour for your family, all facilitated by Dolce Villa. Under the guidance of our experts, you will transcend the boundaries of the resort and your own ability.

Après-Ski & Refined Pursuits

The après-ski culture in St. Moritz is one of elegant conviviality. The transition from slope to socializing unfolds in sophisticated bars and slope-side restaurants. Of the 77 restaurants and cafés, nearly half are situated directly on the mountain, allowing you to relax without removing your skis. While legendary establishments like the Kings Club enforce a dress code, you will find a more relaxed atmosphere at vibrant hubs like Bobby’s Bar, Stübli, or the Cascade Hemingway. A visit to a traditional confiserie presents another perfectly timed pause.

Culinary Curation

Even from the privacy of your serviced chalet, a world of gastronomy awaits. Allow us to navigate the resort's enticing offers and secure your table, bypassing the waitlists that are a staple of the season. The restaurants of St. Moritz are a destination in themselves, from multiple Michelin-starred temples of gastronomy to authentic Swiss stübli and exceptional Greek, French, and fusion cuisine. Each venue holds its own distinct allure.

Nightlife

The energy of St. Moritz extends well into the night. The after-dark scene offers stylish bars, fashionable discos with leading DJs, and live music, all complemented by extensive collections of fine spirits. The legendary Kings Club at the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel remains an institution. For those drawn to the turn of a card, the St. Moritz Casino in the Kempinski Grand Hôtel des Bains provides a classic setting.
